Persecution & Hardships

There is a promise that on earth, followers of Jesus will experience persecution and hardships (2 Timothy 3:12, 1 Peter 4:12-14, John 15:20, Philippians 1:29). Though someone faces persecution and hardships they are to love, bless, and pray for those who persecute them (Romans 12:14, Matthew 5:44). People who follow Jesus are to rejoice through all the hardships and give thanks to God in the midst of them. To live this out it is good to remember that His love and favour towards you has not changed! He will comfort you and establish you! (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Romans 5:3-5, 8:28-39, James 1:2-4, 1 Peter 5:10).
