Marriage & Singleness

Both getting married and remaining single are permissible. However, it is possible for God to call a follower to one or the other. As the case may be it is suggested that it is better to remain single (Matthew 19:1-11, 1 Corinthians 7).

Singleness

When someone remains unmarried for the duration of their time on earth. It is a place of total devotion to the Lord & His work and is considered a gift (Matthew 19:1-11, 1 Corinthians 7).

Marriage

Refers to when a man & a woman become unified. It is for the purposes of serving God as a team, potentially producing offspring & representing the relationship between Jesus & the Church. The husband is to give himself up for his wife as Jesus gave Himself up for the Church. The wife is to submit to her husband as the Church submits to Jesus. The order of hierarchy in a family household is as follows: Jesus, Husband, Wife, Children. It is good for a husband to listen to his wife and not ignore her (Matthew 19:1-11, 1 Corinthians 7, 11:3, Ephesians 5:21-33, 1 Peter 3:1-7, Colossians 3:18-21, Genesis 3:16, Titus 2:5).

Sex

Sex is a wonderful form of intimacy that God designed & created. It is meant to be enjoyed between husband and wife (man & woman) to build closeness with each other. It also can result in offspring! It is also a representation of the intimacy that the church is to have with Jesus. This intimacy is what enables the Church to reproduce which results in people getting born again! (Genesis 2:24, John 15:4-6, Ephesians 5:27)
