Introduction

Dreams are defined as: a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep. They can originate from 3 sources: one’s own mind, the Holy Spirit, and evil spirits (1 John 4:1, Acts 2:17, Isaiah 29:8). The biblical account of Holy Spirit inspired dreams are shown in a variety of places in the Old and New Testament (Acts 16:9, Genesis 31:24). Anyone with the Holy Spirit can get the meaning of a dream as the Spirit reveals the meaning to them (1 Corinthians 2:10-16, Daniel 2:28). There are some people who have the gift of dream interpretation which is a state of being able to understand dreams and their meaning very often (Daniel 1:17, Genesis 41). To help the reader in the process of discerning and interpreting a dream with the Holy Spirit, a guide is provided in the next section.
