Continuing to Live in Freedom

There are a few principles for continuing to live in freedom:

• Spend time with Jesus: being in His presence, taking shelter in Him & being united with Him will let you bear fruit of the kingdom which is of the Holy Spirit (John 15:4, Romans 6:3-5, Galatians 5:22-23, Psalm 91)

• Live by the Spirit: following the Spirit’s direction will keep you from making a sinful choice and the enemy getting a foothold (Galatians 5:22-26, Romans 8:12, 1 John 2:3-5, Luke 6:46)

• Keep short accounts for sin: if you do something not in God’s will be quick to repent, forgive and etc. Remember you are still forgiven and loved, Jesus says “come here my child whom I love!” even if you sin! (Ephesians 4:26-27, Mark 11:25, John 6:37, 1 John 3:1)

• When the enemy tries to feed you lies or cause problems, go and praise the Lord (Psalm 8:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

• Be transparent: confessing wrongdoing and being honest with others and being prayed for brings healing and keeps things in the light (James 5:16, 1 John 1:5-10, Proverbs 28:13)
