Communion/The Lord’s Supper

Communion is when followers of Jesus drink and eat in remembrance of Jesus shedding his blood for us on the cross. It is one of only 2 ordinances given by Jesus directly (the other being baptism). It is a special act of honoring what He has done, to pay the price for our sin and to set us free from it. Participation in a wrong manner can result in getting sick or even death (Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
